Follow these step-by-step instructions to properly set up your stud gun to weld CD studs.
Cut the Universal "B" Stop to the length necessary based on the length of your stud. For a 1/2" CD stud, cut the stop so that 1/4" of the stud is in the collet and 1/4" is protruding. You want to get as much of the stud into the collet as possible but you need at least 1/8" sticking out.
Place the Universal "B" Stop inside the collet, then install the collet in the gun shaft. Tighten the set screws.
Slide the foot piece into face plate. Adjust so that 1/8" to 3/16" of the pin is sticking out past the spark shield and tighten the set screws in the face plate.
Your stud welding gun is now properly configured and ready for use. For additional support or questions, contact our technical team.
